New York— Gold futures closed lower Tuesday, extending its recent weakness as traders watched movements in the U.S. dollar and digested the latest outlook on the economy.
Gold for August delivery closed down $1.20 at $675.10 an ounce on the New York Mercantile Exchange. It climbed as high as $678.80 early on in the trading session. See full story.
