New York— Gold futures finished a lackluster trading session with a slight loss Monday, reversing their strong prior-session gains, as the dollar traded mixed against other major currencies. Gold for December delivery fell $1.30 to close at $676.20 an ounce on the New York Mercantile Exchange.
On Friday, gold ended at $677.50 an ounce, the contract's highest closing level since Aug. 15. It was up $9.10 an ounce for the session and ended the week higher by $10.70, or 1.6%. See full story.
